Building the Leticia Scene: Animation in Daz Studio

This video is about how we do the simplistic 24 frame animation sequence for our scene. We are going to use some camera trickery to avoid showing the viewer unnecessary issues we have with our free model that we have built. This part is very time consuming and is heavily dependent on the GPU that you have. You do not have to have top of the line for this to work. It just helps.

Doug Shepherd here and we are at the animation section.

So I put myself up in the right corner because the scene tab isn't really that necessary.

We are focusing on the section down here, which is the animation of the timeline.

So, where we left off was we had the lighting done and yeah, the cameras are all set up, everything's ready to go.

The only thing that we got is to actually move our people.

So how we do this?

Well, we use 24 frames.

So 24 frames is what we're starting at.

The FPS is at 24.

If you want to use 30, the setup will be a little bit different, but most animation is going to be done in 24 frames a second.

So we have 0 to 23.

The action is going to take place in 3 frames.

We have the 0 frame, we have the end frame at 23, and we have the 11 frame.

So these are the key pieces.

So what we're going to do is we're going to go after the actors, the demo actors here.

So what we do is we take this key here and we're going to copy it.

So that's this little button down here.

We copy this key and we move to frame 23 and then we paste.

So everything that happens, we're not moving the cameras and I'm moving the lights.

Everything that happens is going to take place in this frame and this frame and then the editing, this is the same frame.
