So I went a little cuckoo bananas on the lactation supplements, so I am pretty engorged right now.

But typically, when I have a clogged duct and I want to massage it out, or if I'm pumping, I usually do hands-on massage.

So I'll just kind of start with very light. You don't want to be rough because you can do more harm than good.

If you're applying a lot of pressure, you can inflame the glands and then you're stuck in a worse predicament.

So I just kind of start at the top, just lightly rubbing and always bringing it towards the nipple.

You want to stimulate the milk flow towards the nipple.

Sometimes I use lotion when I'm doing this. I use lotion in my hands though, so I'm gliding pretty easy.

But you don't want too much tugging.

And I can feel I have a pretty full duct right here, so I'm just going to give it a nice little work.
