What I Learned This Last Week 12

This week was a very interesting week as I learned how to modify the base texture maps for the G8 models to make them lighter than they are by default using GIMP. This means that characters that come from locations with less sunlight are able to be used more easily. Mask layers allow you to paint transparency onto a different layer, allowing for more customizable editing and visibility. I also learned more on how to do tattoo placement on models using pictures from virtually anywhere. One could make the most custom character ever. Great week for customization!

Dark Shepherd here.
This is what I learned this last week.
So this topic is gonna kind of encompass two topics
and then kind of three at the same time.
So I was trying to mess with some stuff this last week
by making characters.
There's also some custom stuff I learned how to do
that you're not gonna see until week 13.
This background or the dark mode on Daz is also one of them.
So normally we get just, you know,
the basic Genesis 8 model.
And we know that you can mess with the surfaces
and actually change certain things.
So if we go to surface select mode
and we select the torso,
we can actually change, you know,
the translucency color to let's just say white.
And we can darken the model.
So darken them down a bit.
We need this weird gold look.
So it's gonna lag for a second.
When we look at it in eye ray,
she's weird and red.
Why does this happen?
Not sure exactly.
Take it out.
But if you don't wanna go through this
and you just kind of wanna make the model
look a specific way,
there is a way to do that.
And it's modifying the base textures here.
So we know where these are.
I mean, it's good to remember where this location is.
Whenever you have a brand new model,
it's gonna default to this whenever you go there.
But what you can do is in GIMP,
...
