What I Learned This Last Week 14

This week I learned how to make hair cards in Blender. This reminded me that I could not find any tutorials on how to make Dforce hair in DazStudio. So I tried it with the hair cards and it works! It looks terrible since I just learned it. But that is part of the process. I also learned about the Layered Image Editor (LIE) in Daz to make changes to surfaces more easily directly in the program. This week was definitely interesting.

Dark Shepherd here. This one's gonna be a bit of a long one because this is what I
learned last week. This is going to be a little bit complicated. So this is
basically how to make Deforce hair. Now this is gonna be ugly as fuck okay but
it's something that I learned. I had to make it with hair cards because you
can't do in Daz if we actually bring in a model and we try to put you know
Deforce on here. If you don't know Deforce this is basically physics based
hair. So the same thing I did with the dress I showed I think was last week. The
ability to make hair rotate and move like you would with clothing and stuff
the physics will work on it. In this particular case if we do something like
strand based hair it does not work. It would take too many calculations because
what we're going to make that's not working. Oh it's asking me a question. Yes
what happens is that we're gonna make hair cards which is a piece an object
that has alpha properties on it which allow us to see transparencies. This
allows for less vertices with less geometry because this
something like this that we're looking at right now this has a fuck ton of
vertices in it. So if we were to actually try to put Deforce we can put a Deforce
modifier on this and then we did you know do simulation and rotate the model
