What I Learned This Last Week 22

This video is about what I have learned this last week centered on the creation of Virtual Reality Models using Daz Studio. Mainly the process of getting the visemes to export with the model so that they can be used as shapekeys in VeeSeeFace for a virtual avatar. These avatars can then be used for Vtubing if that is the direction you want to go. I always wanted to know how people got their models and if it could be done with a small budget.

Dark Shepherd here and this is what I learned this last week.

The projects I've been working on recently have included kind of trying to understand

how VTubing works.

I've always been curious about that seeing as how it looks very complicated and I know

there's a lot of artificial intelligence involved.

Knowing now that there's a lot of money involved in certain cases, so I'm trying to find a

way to actually do it for basically almost nothing.

And I have found certain things.

This in particular, this process took me all this last week.

I shit you not, I spent probably no less than almost a 40 hour work week trying to figure

out how to do this.

Going back and forth with different AIs, trying to figure out how to get a particular thing

done.

In Blender, I have this add-on installed called VRM.

So if I can find it.

VRM actually creates virtual reality models and this specifically is the rig that you

need for it.

So it allows you to actually use certain things.

Let's see, not that one.

It's in line with BlendShaper.

So you have these, they're called Visemes.

Visemes are phonemes, it's where the mouth moves.

So how to get these in Blender from a DAZ model.

So in a lot of cases what you do when you see 2D VTubers is they just move the mouth
