This video covers things such as binding shapekeys for a VRM model in Blender based off of a Genesis 8 model from Daz Studio. I show how to create simple shapekeys using Edit and Sculpt modes in Blender. And then to bind the shapekeys to the VRM addon getting it ready for export. I also discuss how you can extend your usage of old assets for lower genesis Daz models onto newer ones. Like taking a dress built for a Gen3 and using it on a Gen8 using auto-fit.

The Arch Shepherd here, this is what I learned this last week.
So, as I mentioned, I've been kind of working on VRM models.
I did get my model rigged up properly, and he works.
So, let me get that.
And they got the eyes working.
I mean, the shoulders work.
The eyes work.
To a degree.
Hold on. I'm going to do this real quick.
Rotate it.
It looks like that guy from Mr. Deeds.
Anyway, so the biggest thing for this was the visemes.
So, the visemes are all of these pieces.
Go back to object mode, pose mode.
And in here we have these.
So, I actually added one, a shape key, for the blink.
I still have an issue trying to get the eyelashes to work at the same time.
So, these are the eyelashes on the main model when he blinks.
Eyelashes don't move.
I'm trying to figure that part out right now.
But the biggest thing that I did learn this last week was how to map them.
So, these in here, if I hit preview, it actually does.
I had blink highlighted. Where's blink? Okay.
So, it still uses it.
So, how to bind these.
This is a binding.
So, in the VRM add-on, you would come in here and for blink, you get rid of that.
Because these all have their own bindings already. I did these.
So, in blink we come in here, add a plus sign, and then we would do the object.
